About Me

Kia ora my name is Jade. This is my last year at Paihia School. I'm a year 8 student who attends Te Ngahere at Paihia School, I am 12 years old. My teachers are Whaea Chrissy, Whaea Roni, Whaea Becks and Whaea Gina. I am half Māori and half pakeha.

I like learning about the stuff that I am most interested in: art, maths, writing and sports. I am good at maths and writing. I really enjoy doing writing because it makes me happy, but I am also really inspired by art because I like all of the little details that get put in and the emotions that can be in a piece of art. My challenges are doing T-shaped literacy/ reading and finding the concrete nouns etc and explaining why and how. My goals are to get better at reading out loud and being confident with explaining what I think and why I think it.

I am really looking forward to doing lots of sports this year. I hope that there is a netball team because I really enjoy playing netball. I am really inspired by my aunty and the way she gets so into her art. I am also inspired by my friend Angela. She is a nice person and she loves to help people. She is good at sports and is very competitive. I like posting my learning on my blog because it is a good way to show my learning to other people.
